WDD 330: Web Frontend Development II

W07 Final Project: Submission

Overview

Finish the development of your final web application project and submit your Professional and Skill Development documents. You will also create a video highlighting the work listed in your documents and in your project.

Instructions

Project

  1. Complete the development of your web application project.
  2. Deploy your working application and verify that it is running and can be accessed publicly.
  3. Update your Trello board showing your progress and the state of the project. You may have not finished all the tasks but that may be OK given the scope of the assessment of learning.

Development Documentation

  1. Review your Professional Development and Skills Development documents.

These are the two documents that you downloaded in first weeks of the course and have been adding to throughout the course.
Professional and Skills Development Documents (Step 1)

  2. List any additional work completed in the appropriate locations on the given tables in the documents.
  3. Ensure that the provided tables contain all the work you used to demonstrate your mastery of the course learning outcomes.
  4. Check links that you have provided. They all must be working and render publicly.

Create a Video

Create a video demonstrating your working application.

  1. The video should be approximately 5 minutes long.
  2. Use screen recording software to capture your screen. Do not use a mobile phone. (Recommended tool: Loom)
  3. Include your face in the recording, at least at the beginning of the video.
  4. Demonstrate your application running in the browser and discuss the code as it executes.
  5. Publish your video using a hosting platform of your choice, such as YouTube or Loom.

Your hosted video must be public in order for the grader(s) and instructor to have access. You can test this yourself by opening an "incognito" or private browser window and navigating to your video link to make sure it is public.

Update Links

In the Skills document, insert the following information where indicated:

  1. your full name
  2. a URL link to your working/rendered application (typically Netlify or github.io (Pages)
  3. web application source URL (typically github.com)
  4. your project Trello board URL

Submission

Once you have completed the two documents and the video as described above, return to Canvas to upload the documents where indicated.
