Overview

A resume is a critical component of job searches. Normally, this is a push document that you submit via the application process. You have likely created a resume and have worked to improve it. Another important aspect of your professional presence is your online profile with recognized platforms such as LinkedIn and GitHub. Your online profile should be up-to-date and professional. This is a pull interface that employers will find when they search for you online. This activity has you consider your online, professional profile.

Note that potential employers will likely review your social media profile on many different platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Are you comfortable with what they will find? If not, consider making changes to the content you will post or have posted. Do not post anything that could be interpreted as demeaning, division, or controversial.

  2. Work on your LinkedIn profile and/or improve your profile using the tips provided in the prepare article or through your own research.
  3. In your GitHub account, create a personal repository that is public and update the README.md file within that repository.
  4. Share your LinkedIn profile and GitHub profile with your peers on Microsoft Teams
