After learning how to network to find your dream job, you might be wondering why we would have a video talking about job boards.
The truth is, aside from finding job postings, job boards can help you learn about your audience, qualifications for positions you might be interested in, and new companies in your industry that you haven’t heard of yet.
You can use platforms like, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Monster, CareerBuilder, Glassdoor, Handshake, LinkedIn Jobs, Employment Opportunities through the church and many others to help you find jobs and achieve those goals.
The good thing is that most job boards work the same way, so the principles you learn from using one should apply to the others.
Make sure you always have a completed and updated profile on each platform. This will help you stand out as a candidate and will also make sure you are up to date on the things you need to know in your industry.
You will also be able to receive notifications from each platform alerting you of job opportunities. Although this might not be the most effective way to secure a job, it’s still a major avenue to job exploration that a lot of employer's use.
