Transcript: Connecting with alumni on LinkedIn
Did you know that there are thousands of alumni from BYU-Idaho on LinkedIn? And finding out who they work for wouldn’t take you more than a few minutes—maybe even less.
A process that would take several hours in the old days, today can take a fraction of the time to be completed!
LinkedIn is an incredible resource for college students, using and finding information is what we’re going to teach you in this video.
So, how do we find those alumni through LinkedIn?
First, you will need to find the BYU-Idaho page on LinkedIn.
After doing that, click on the Alumni tab, and you’ll see a couple of boxes with information about our alumni, such as where they live or where they work.
If you click on the Next button, you can see there are many categories to search through alumni. And if there is a company or location that is not showing in the option, you can always type it in the search bar.
Let’s say you want to find someone in Idaho, working for Melaleuca, that majored in business management.
After you select those filters, scroll down, and you will find all the people that match the criteria. It’s as
simple as that!
Connecting with those people is not the focus right now, but we will definitely show you how in other videos.
